Get your blender ready to whirl some ripe banana, creamy Greek yogurt, chilled milk, tasty vanilla and cold ice. You’re boring morning routine will be turned into a pleasantly flavorful experience that you won’t mind repeating often!
For me, I always struggle with eating breakfast. I never seem to have enough time to get-it-together when it comes to eating first thing in the morning. What about you? During the week I’m usually so busy I seem to forget about myself, unless of course I prepare something in advance — and unfortunately that does not happen very often.
This Creamy Banana Pie Smoothie is easy enough to whip up and take with you on-the-go during the week days and can also be thoroughly enjoyed over a lazy weekend reading the newspaper. And who wouldn’t want to sip the flavors of an incredible creamy pie for breakfast? Let’s get ready to take the plunge!
Creamy Banana Pie Smoothie
1 cup Greek yogurt (I used vanilla)
1/2 cup milk (non-fat, almond, your choice)
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 large ripe banana
1 cup ice cubes
crushed graham cracker for garnish
dash of cinnamon for garnish
Add yogurt, milk, vanilla extract, banana and ice cubes to blender. Pulse on high until well blended. If you like thicker consistence add more ice.
Pour into tall glass. Sprinkle with a bit of crushed graham crackers and cinnamon and drink immediately.
